Heavy head and fearing aneurysm

5 days ago, I was walking up my stairs and felt a headache come on suddenly.  It felt as if pressure was building up in my head and that my head was very heavy (hard to hold upright, my head felt wobbly like a bobble head).  My right side of my face also began to droop.  A few hours later, I went to see a neurologist who told me it was tension headaches or anxiety headaches, but I asked for a CT scan.  My CT scan came back clear, but I'm still not convinced.

Fast forward 5 days and my head still feels the same.  Feels extremely heavy, I occassionaly get dizzy and ocassionally get blurry vision.  I've been in bed most of the time.

I saw my GP a few days ago who thought it could be a sinus headache and put me on antibiotics, but they don't seem to be working.

Should I be worried?  I am worrying that this might be an unruptured or ruptured aneursym.  If the aneurysm ruptured, would I still be here functioning almost 6 days later?  Please help.

Hi, l,m not expert but from thelittle knowledge l haave a brin anuerysm is very serious, many die within a short time, some can recover if they get emergency treatment quickly. so dont think its likely to be a ruptered aneurism, if an unrputured one it should have showed up on scan, but l dont think theyre entirley infallible, buyt also your symptoms could be  for another reason, and anxiety pressure might be one of them, or even severe allergicv response, or other did the dr check your  ears as they can cause severe symptoms, labrinthitus etvc, other reason, if a seven day course of anti b s they might not have finishworking helping yet.  if your unable to get out of bed and function at all, that needs checking outat length.  If your symptoms gte worse, you can always go into a and

e,  maybe someone with simular symptoms will answer, and have known reason for it.  Use yuour own judgmentt if you think its getting worse go to a  and e, best wishes for solution

I was typing and it disappeared Matt  so start again !!

As I said I had an SAH which was a bad one, I felt very tired and could taste blood in my mouth, this was Thursday evening and Friday I stayed at home as I was soo tired, luckily my hubby came home early and I collapsed on the floor while cooking a curry, I came around after a year approx. I not only had an anni I also had Ventriculitis and Sepsis.  Now if you have pains in head see Doc and say the pills he gave you did no good and you would like to have a scan, they don't hurt at all and it will put your mind at ease.  Stress is no good for the brain so stop stressing and see Doc, I hope all is well and it is better to be safe  than sorry.

Good luck and if he says he doesn't think you need a scan say "Are you positive I haven't got one" and ask him if he can put it in writing xx You'll be okay but Good luck xx and dont be afraid xxx

    Hello Matt

You say the right side of your face began to droop? I would press about that. I can't see how a sinus headache would cause that to happen.

How many hours was it before you had the scan after this happened?

Hi. It was about 3 hours after the initial headache. This was last Monday. I also went to the ER yesterday for trouble breathing and a second CT scan showed nothing. Maybe I need an MRI?
