Heavy period after absent periods?

I finally plucked up the courage to go to the docs after not having a period for around 2 and a half years. I am going to start on some medication that will hopefully bring them back and im very relieved however does anybody know if my period will be very heavy or does your uterus lining not build up? Thanks very much.

Hello, I havent had my period for about 2 and half years also. I recently went to the dr 4 days ago and she prescribed me medroxyprogesterone 10mg for 10 days. Ive been reading up and supposedly I will get a "fake period" between 7 days of taking the pill and 10 days after my last pill. From what I understood, the lining does build up (correct me if I'm wrong). I will keep you posted if it is heavy or not.

Hello, SOOO after doing that medication, I did bleed but It was a light "period" and it started 8 days after the last pill. They did an ultrasound on my uterus and ovaries and they found a plum size cyst in my left ovary in which I had to have surgery, which was feb 3rd, and found that it was cancer free. They call the cyst a "dermoid" cyst and it contains hair. teeth, skin structures. They did a "laprascopic" surgery in which they made an incision in my navel for the camera and 2 near my pelvis so they can work in there. My OB will be putting me on ovulation meds soon so we can start working on things. *I cant go back to work for 2 weeks and no sex for 4 weeks.
