Heavy period symptoms.. please help

So I've spent the last 3 days on a gynaecology ward in hospital. I have had the heaviest period in my life this month. I was passing very large painful blood clots and I got a very high temperature of 39.3 and a heart rate of 140. Clearly an infection somewhere. The surgeons booked me for a scan incase there was a leakage of blood that had gone into the pelvic area as I have really bad lower right stomach pain. The ultrasound was clear and I've been sent home tonight with tramadol and no answers what so ever.

My question is does anyone suffer from having very heavy periods that clot. The pain was that intense I was crawling on the floor for a day before I was taken to hospital. I don't know what's caused it to be so heavy. I do have heavy periods but not this bad. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on what I can do to ease them or does anyone have any similar experiences. I also have ovarian cysts but the surgeon said this wasn't the cause. I was given no answers just a nod from the nurse to say I'm free to go home

    Hi,

I can't really help with that but perhaps you should see a ganaecolosist? i suffered from heavy periods too but in my case I  finally had to have my uterus removed by laparoscopy. I had also tried the myrena coil, transanemic acid, and d&C. I think you need to get some answers from the doctors....

    good luck!

I was on a gynaecology ward but never seen that kind of specialist due to it being a weekend I have said for months to my doctor they are getting worse and she gave me mefenamoc acid to take vitamin b and folic acid and vitamin d. I'm seeing her again tomorrow so I am hoping she will do something as I've been bleeding for 11 days now and no one knows why
