I am a healthcare professional just started my career as a paramedic. I have joined this forum to learn new things, share my experience in the industry and build a network of likeminded people. I get many calls from disabled patients. I really enjoy to help people with disability. In my opinion, this is the best job one can have. What do you think guys?

Well I’m a Registered Nurse, Who livesi q rural and remote area. I’m always on duty with 1 nurse and am

I’m charge of hospital, including a20 bed acute care section, 20 bed Aged Vare facility and then the A&E Dept.

So as you could imagine I literally run from the time I start until I look up and realise my shift finished 2 hours ago! I love A&E, and because we have no onsite Dr, we are a presenting patients first line of contact. I love the thrill of a respiratory or cardiac arrest, and other critical emergencies such as acute onset of pulmomary oedema and watching someone go from being minutes away from dying- but due to your quick thinking, Hoover inserted the cannula , the catheter, administered IV Lasix and literally watch them come alive! It’s an amazing career and being a paramedic, I think you will be awesome. Being frightened and second guessing yourself will only drive you mad. If ever in doubt, just think A?B & C. Airway, brrating and circulation. I hope this helps
