I had my gallbladder removed 15 years ago and for past 8-12 months I've had pain on and off on upper right stomach area. Lately, alot of pain where it hurts to lay down or turn over. Just sitting a certain way as well. I feel nauseous and I'm really scared. I had ultrasound, blood work and 1st liver tests came back a little high, 2nd test in normal range. I know I need to see a specialist, I don't understand why it's constantly hurting

Hello Louise I too have experienced that same exact pain... I know it's miserable! However you do need to see a specialists DONT WAIT I waited for many years and just learned to live with it now I regret that decision in every way bc caused me more serious problems down the line bc I ignored the problem to begin with. Like I said see a specialists ASAP and best of luck to you

Hi I think after gb removal our livers are going to work more to produce bile and if you had or become fatty liver it's a big problem. I don't think it's a stone because it's very rare that you get that in bile duct and pain woul be extremely painful. Easy to ruled out with a scan. Also there's something called spincter of oddi disfunction ( sod) that can cause a lot of discomfort. I really hope you get better. I don't have a gb too. Removed over two ago. Had pancreatitis really bad. Good luck
