which was anterior posterior repairs and also the coil had to be removed as had gone astray so i suppose they did all that as well. now been about 10 or more weeks now. how do i feel well still a bit funny down below as the stiches on outside well they feel strange but seem to be healing well. got a few left inside i think . but its more the worry of it not having worked that is making me feel aweful i still cant do as much as i would like.found out they arent even doing a follow up appointment at the hospital so how would they know if it worked. well had to go to doctors so they are sending me for a follow up so will see when i get that one. sometimes feel i aint the woman i used to be. any one else felt like this after the operationx

I had vaginal hysterectomy plus bladder and bowel repair 17 weeks ago. I just returned to work yesterday but it was over 12 weeks before I started to feel that I was really making progress and only the last couple of weeks that I have felt more like my old self. I wasn’t allowed to drive until after 12 weeks anyway and have been really careful about not lifting and have rested regularly. I built up to walking about 8000 steps a day by week 10 and paid privately to see a physio for pelvic floor exercises but have seen the consultant twice during recovery and have now been discharged. I am sure you should have a follow up with consultant so glad your doctor has written to them. I think that the recovery from these operations take a lot longer than we are originally told, but there is light at the end of the tunnel and I feel better now than before the op. I know when I have done too much and I still get a lot of swelling in my abdomen but I will just continue to listen to my body. I am sure you will be fine just got to let your body heal fully.
Take care
Tina

I had bowel issues including severe pain In my abdomen before and after op and doctor has prescribed laxido daily for life. It doesn’t have any side effects and as long as I take it daily and stick to a healthy diet everything is fine.
Hope you get sorted soon ❤️
