I have had a UTI for 3 years on and off, my trigger for this must be sex as it only occurs when I do so, I am with my boyfriend for almost 9 months (we use condoms every time we have sex) I never peed after sex, I used to always douche with soaps to feel clean but I never realised these are triggers until I did research, I am on antibiotics the past 5 days for a chest infection from my asthma and I also got the cold! Since I have been taken these my bladder is reacting to these antibiotics, always urge to pee, slight burn feel in bladder and goes after urination, pressure/fullness on bladder but only mild, I have seen so many things that can trigger UTIs, thongs, tight pants, wiping the wrong way, I have took care of all this,I no longer use soaps to clean I just use water and my hands but I make sure they're clean, I also have no had sex with my boyfriend in about 2 weeks because I think this is the trigger, I drink so much water everyday and some of my symptoms have cleared from this, can the antibiotics I am on cause a UTI or bladder infection?? I used to experience a "climax" sensation after urination that would last 5-10 minutes but mildly, this has cleared mostly from the water I would say!! Can I have a second opinion please??

I don't really think an antibiotic will cause a UTI. However, certain meds can cause a "flare" of Interstitial Cystitis (also known as "Painful Bladder Syndrome". In fact, SO many things can cause a flare of this condition and IC can also sometimes be caused by chronic urinary tract infections.
You should talk to your doctor about IC and also be checked for a yeast infection just to rule one out.

Thank you! I am also 1/2 days away from period so ph levels could be all over the place, I read about antibiotics killing off good bacteria so thought that could be how it occurred, only happened since I took the antibiotics, I took my last one a hour ago! Can sex be the problem for starting this?

Sex can most certainly be a culprit for starting a UTI, especially since you say you use condoms. Are your condoms latex? If so, you might be allergic. Then there's the lubricant on your choice of condom.
Maybe you should discuss another form of birth control with your doctor. You could also choose a condom made from a totally different material than your current brand and lubricant-free.
Eating lots of sugar can contribute to UTIs. Also, holding your urine (go as soon as you feel the urge - and antihistamines can make you *want* to go less).

Yes I use the durex ones! I was on birth control pills for a couple of months and didn't like the emotional side effects they gave me! I'm looking for some natural reliefs though, hard to find now adays!

They are over-the-counter. I order mine online and they are available everywhere (if you're in the United States) in both the name brand and various pharmacy store brands.
