Hi

I am a 26 year old male and have been getting pain in the back of my head for almost 6 months. Sometimes i feel a mild pressure and sometimes the pressure is intense as if someone is pressing my skull in with his thumbs. I am also having some other symptoms like muscle spasms and my short term memory has gotten weak, I have an appointment with a GP next week but i want to know if anyone of you is familiar with these kind of symptoms.

    Hello,

I started with the same symptoms with sleep apnea. Mine went undiagnosed for years because all my tests came back normal. Headaches, pain in back of head, short term memory problems and tiredness and fatigue were my early symptoms. I was always sharp but having a hard time figuring out my kids math problems. If everything else looks ok request a sleep study to rule it out.

    Good luck.

What kind of tests did you have? Mri? CAT Scan etc?

Ps; Thank you for your reply.

I had a CT scan of head initially because of the brain fog and memory problems. That was clear.

If you snore or anyone has told you you gasp for air while sleeping you can get a sleep study done by a sleep doctor. My Doctor was a neurologist who specialized in it. I saw about 12 doctors before him and no one suggested it. My sleep study was done at home. The Sleep doctor ordered me a cpap machine to use for when I sleep. It has taken me about a year for major improvements because I went undiagnosed for so long.

Headaches can be caused by a lot of things but I had them along with brain fog, fatigue, ear fullness, dizziness, increased blood pressure early on with the sleep apnea.

      Good luck

Are your headaches a daily one?

Yes, pain is there everyday but sometimes it becomes unnoticeable and sometimes it irritates the hell out of me.

How long have you been having the headaches and does movement makes it worse?
