      Are you still sick ?

It seems to me that the only thing that mirtazapine is good for is sleep.  But god help you when you want to stop them.  You might need more than one drug to balance the problem.  Mirtazapine for sleep and something else for the depression.  That seems to be the way of the medics on reading a lot of posts on this forum.  Many patients appear to be on a cocktail of drugs prescribed by their GPs

Was vomiting when I went off thats why I went back on. Also was not sleeping. I do feel better than when I was off them. But it never did much for my depression and now I have anxiety which I never had to begin with.

Im hoping if I stay on it will settle some but it's been over a week now and the anxiety is still there.

My docotr told me I could go off because he felt like it wasn't the right one for my depression, which I did tellhim each time I went in but he said hang in there.

Now he says maybe my depression has gotten worse. Don't know what he will suggest going to see him next Friday and see what he might want to do as far as other medicines. I feel trapped. May now have to stay on the mirtazapine and get another one because it's nit working this way.

Hi how little doctors know to tell you to just stop mirtazapine is ridiculous you must have been climbing the walls

I’ve been tapering since December 20th was on 30mg and three days ago I went down to 4mg it’s taken that long now I’m staying on 4mg for a month and will taper by 1.5mg a month as I can’t take the withdrawals

I suppose I'll have to taper and I'll ask my doc but I'm not sure he knows anything at this point I don't trust.

    I think I need a taper guide
