Help!

Day 4 of coming off Sertraline, I taped off my medication by taking my dose every other day for two weeks and now it’s been 4 days without any at all. I’ve got side effects such as dizziness, tinnitus, brain zaps, numbness in hands and feet and my head feels heavy and painful. Is this normal? Any remedies to help ease the withdrawals? Thanks!❤️

I came off Sertraline two weeks ago and feel exactly the same. I also tapered the dose. I also have bad nausea. Please keep posting your symptoms as there are a number of us in the same situation. How’s your sleep?

      Hi Belle

My sleep has been affected a bit as I seem to wake quite early some mornings like 4-5. I go to bed around 11.

My head continues to be dizzy, foggy and I have tinnitus. This gives me some anxiety and I also have a bit of nausea. I’ve been off Sertraline 18 days now. I just hope things can improve. Keep posting 🙏

From what I heard the best way to come off sertraline is not to take it every second day but to decrease the dosage every day like, from 50mg to 25mg for a week or so, then 12,5mg... (I've increased Sertraline to 75 mg few days ago and the symptoms of increased dose are the same as your withdrawal symptoms. My doctor suggested taking benzodiazepines together with sertraline and it helps a bit against dizziness and heavy head).
