Yes, I think it can do both.  I would see a GP asap, as it sounds as though you may have an impaction - something I've just recovered from myself.  Good luck!

    Yes, it can.

It is particularly difficult to urinate when you feel the urge to use the bathroom but can't because of constipation, especially faecal impaction.

The muscles used in both acts have similar functions, hence why getting the flow going is more difficult.

I would see your GP as soon as possible. Meanwhile, you could try some Lactulose to help draw fluid into your stool.

Although for faecal impaction (if its severe) a mini enema or suppository are the likeliest solutions (your GP will determine this).

Simple lifestyle changes like light exercise, drinking plenty of water and eating wholesome fibrous food can help in the long-term.

Hi there, constipation can cause lots of GI symtoms as it progresses including that. Feel free to ask anything i'd be glad to help.

Yes it can affect urine flow. My child had this problem and was very

Impacted, resulting in her having picolax to shift the blockage. This

Treatment worked. She now takes movicol to keep water in the bowel

And dulcolax at night. Had no problems since. Visit your G P asap as this can only get worse. Hope you get sorted.
