Hi, new to this board. I went to my PCP a week or so ago to look at a problem I'm having with my leg. Due to multiple health problems I'm having he did a full blood panel. He called me that same day to say my LFT's were way off and he was sending me in for a sonogram. I had the sonogram within the week, and he called me while I was in the waiting room to make sure I was there. He then called me just a few hours later to say I didn't have stones but my ducts were very dilated, and they're thinking it could be a growth or a "little cancer".
Now, I have no insurance since February. I applied for disability in January and I'm applying for SSI on the 30th. He referred me to a specialist to treat me further, but I have been waiting on insurance. I have been getting worse, and I'm not sure I wait or what to do. I don't know if this is related but I haven't felt like eating as it hurts and makes me feel like I've eaten 10 pounds of food. I am having bowel movements like 5 times a day, I also feel like I'm getting pneumonia, wheezing and crackling eyes spitting up gunk. Now when I go to the bathroom it hurts sooooo bad on my left hand side and my stools are definitely gray now. Do I call the doctor? Go to the hospital? I just don't know. It seems like ultimately I'll end up in the hospital anyways.

A more detailed imaging test, like an MRI would be able to see more details than the sonogram you had. I would call the doctor. Changes in your stool or new symptoms are always worth mentioning to your doctor. You can get gas pills or digestive enezymes at your local grocery store. These can help with the bloating and how your body digests food. A lot of people who are in a flare-up with the pancreas will consume a fat-free diet and go on a liquid fast to let the pancreas rest. I think as far as the pneumonia goes, if you are in the US, there are sliding-scale fee health clinics. The bill is according to your income and I think these clinics would be able to diagnose something like pnemonia and prescribe medication if needed. And there are walk-in clinincs as well that would be equipped to diagnose a possible chest cold/infection...I hope you get the help you need and take care....

I'm hoping the BUN ratio thing is related to my pancreas stuff cause I don't want kidney problems too.
No, I'm not overweight though I feel it right now. I've always been one of those people who eat what they want and don't gain or lose. People always commented on how skinny I was. After getting diagnosed with narcolepsy a few years ago, and last year developing CRPS after two foot surgeries, I have put on a good 20lbs, and I don't eat. One of the meds for the narcolepsy promotes weight gain, and do to the CRPS I haven't been able to walk in 7 months. Sitting on your butt all the time sucks. Lol. Now I have this to worry about.
Thank you for reaching out and for listening to me.
