I need some help/advice. My name is Moe and I'm 23 years old and work 40 hrs a week as a manager. On my last day off from work last thursday I woke up dizzy and could barely walk. It lasted all day without relieving at all. I felt slow and sick and like I was fighting to do anything while feeling like there was lead running through me. I had pretty bad vertigo in my childhood but it slowly got better until I almost never had episodes. I'm talking maybe one a year if not at all until now. Now, before this happened about two weeks prior I was also having panic attacks almost every other day or multiple times a day. Something that also did not happen a lot after I turned about 17. I suffer from chronic amd severe manic-depression amd am constantly stressed. I have had vertigo constantly every day and all day since last thursday. I can barely function. I have never had vertigo for this long and I'm getting nervous. I don't want to go to a doctor since it might be nothing. What should I do? I'm trying to avoid going to the doctor if I'm able to because I don't have a lot of money. Should I be worrying? Should I wait it out? Please help.

You really should go to the doctor. They can determine why you're dizzy, and give you medicine to make it stop or figure out what's causing it. Certainly one cannot function when one is dizzy all the time so you will have to see someone professional who can help you more in depth of this situation.

Yes definitely see the doctor. It's probably nothing sinister but anxiety, depression along with being a person with responsibility ie being a manager or a lack of sleep can all take its toll on you and cause vertigo. Have you had a holiday yet? You might need a good rest away from the 9 to 5. Get yourself checked out. Worrying will just aggravate the situation. Get well soon !

Hi Moe, I suffer from vertigo and last year it was pretty bad. My doctor recomended physiotherapy and it went away. It come back after a year and I did not want to pay for physiotherapy again, so I googled "Vertigo excercices" and I come across lots doctors teaching how to do the exercises at home. They are very simple exercices and it worked for me. I am fine now. Hope this will work for you as well.
