I went to my OBGYN for some lower back pain thinking I had a BV infection because I had one several years ago and felt the same pain. I also have had some cottage cheese in my urine. I was on antibiotics that could cause yeast about 5 weeks ago. During my visit at the dr my urine dip was negative but also saw strings of discharge in urine. The dr also said I had a lesion on inside of my vagina. It does not itch or burn while I urnate. But they swab it for herpes and took my blood. I'm so nervous. I was tested a year ago for std's and found out I had herpes 1 but negative for 2. I have had only 1 partner since that test was done who "claimed" he didn't have anything. Does it sound like have herpes 2?

It does not necessarily sound like herpes, but the tests should tell you either way.

I wanted to inform everyone that my results came back and they were negative for Hsv-2 (genial herpes). It did show up that I have the virus have-1 (cold sores) but it was not active.
