    I am sorry to read about your health,I have had reflux and stomach problems for over 30yrs and it's completely ruined my life. The only advice I can give you would be to get in touch with your cardiologist or failure that your GP which no doubt you have already thought of, they will most probably start you on ppi tablets but be careful once you start them they are near impossible to come off, but personally I would push for the cardiologist, ring his secretary and explain things and see you can get an appointment. Sorry I can't be of much help but good luck 🍀 and a speedy recovery 😊.

      Most of my life, I am waiting for an appointment to see about having Stretta treatment but I also have an hiatus hernia so don't know if it is possible, this is available on the NHS but not all hospitals offer it ,if you haven't heard of it google a Stretta treatment and it will give you all the information.

      Well then I will ask you if I may, how long have you been exactly on PPIs(and was it daily or not) what was you average dose during that time and what are your side effects while on this drugs if you had any or still do.

      I'm asking because I'll be on this drug for life as I can see and I'm 25 now.

      Well to be honest I can't remember all the exact details but I am 64yrs now and I have had quite afew different ppi tabs over the yrs, the worst was last October when I went to see yet another so called gastro specialist who put me on 80mg aday of omeprazole, I went through hell, in fact I took myself off them, I had loss of appetite, severe diarrhea, dizziness, severe stomach pain's which because I also have IBS was really terrible, to be honest I haven't felt right since when I went back to see him in February (a 4 month wait I might had) in his infinite wisdom prescribed yet another ppi that I had already told him I couldn't take because it caused me pains in my legs but I know from his attitude he didn't believe me, anyway he discharged me, that's why I decided to see if you can have the Stretta treatment, I really want to come off meds. If you don't know about Stretta look it up on google. Sorry I can't remember all the details of all the different tablets but this helps you, do make sure you are guided by your Dr. Take care.
