its me again- so I am 11 days off of Prozac (after only being on 3 days) and still have severe anxiety and restlessness. Starting the Prozac, I felt fine day 1 and 2, but by day 3, I had the most severe anxiety and restlessness of my entire life and got off of it. I didn't eat or sleep for 3 days and feel like I am going crazy. anyone experience this with Prozac.

I know symptoms can be bad initially, but this was unbearable. Its not as bad, but still around. any advice, please? :-(

    I have stopped my Prozac and Abilify about 3 weeks ago. Both of these drugs have long half lives.  So far I have been pretty good and actually feel better without taking these drugs. I was on them for 18 years. I would not

    Knock antidepressant drugs or psychotropics for that matter but out

    Of the 18 years of taking them they have done more harm

    Than good.  The first five years on antidepressants, I felt did help

    Me immensely but after that I started gaining weight. Not just a few pounds either, I’m talking over 100 pounds. My

    Advice to you would be try and stick it

    Out with out the medication.  Go to therapy on a consistent basis. There are alternatives. Hope you start to feel better. Good luck!

    Jill did your doc give you something else on the side to help you with the side effects?

      No I stop 4 days ago, I couldn't take the side effects, my body is 2 sensitive, he will have me try something else, but first I'm getting some lab work done on my thyroid, he did tell me it will take 2 weeks for prozac to be off my body, I only took it for 17 days.

      Yes same, and insomnia, nausea, body twitches 😔 but I need to start new medication, hopefully I won't have horrible side effects, hope you feel better soon!

      I’m scared to death to start a new med. has your anxiety let up at all yet? I’m not even able to eat due to the nausea.

      I'm scared 2, doc is gonna have me start on a low dose of a mood enhancer it does not have serotonin in it, then bridge to one that it does, he also gave me something for nausea, I never felt this sick with so much anxiety and depression 😭 praying it will go away soon, when do you see your doc again?

      This has been like a nightmare I can’t wake up from😢

      I saw her Monday and she wants me to not take anything right now. Get this completely out of my system. I’m scared to death.

      Did you titrate or stop cold turkey?
