Over the past few days, I have developed unpleasant itching an burning around the anus and vagina, which hurts when I wipe my bottom and itches at night. There are also small lumps and bumps and it is swollen. About 1 hour ago, I discovered a small lump in the left hand side of my groin too. Im going to the doctors tomorrow, I am so scared of what it may be.

Hi there,
try not to worry, there's a couple of things you can do to help. keep the area clean and try not to itch. get fresh air to the area by showering, dabbing dry and laying down on your bed without pants. the doctor can help with what it is tommorrow.
Have a think what may have caused it. eg: have you changed wash powder? used a new feminine hygiene product etc something that could have irritated the area? Other ideas are a fungal or yeast infection.

Hi both, so i went to GP and she confirmed it is herpes 😦 I got a horrible shock. Anyway i have antibiotics and antiviral pills and a cream. just shows, its always worth going rather than hoping it will go away. I have also had flu like symptoms and fever and headache, which can be common with the virus. I was extremely upset earlier but calmed down a bit now. Hey ho... 😕
