Hi

I suspect I have a prolapse, I'm almost 7 weeks postpartum and for the last maybe 3 weeks or so I have an u comfortable feeling down below. Hard to describe but its like a slight drag or someone tickling your insides or a tampon that just isn't in right ..its not painful its just extremely annoying..ive been to a gp a week ago and he said my cervix was low but no prolapse but I may need it to be stitchedback up and I had a kidney infection so I'm on antibiotics and anti inflammatory tablets too. The feeling is so annoying and its getting me down..im due to see a private womens health physio and will go back to gp for a follow up..but I'm wondering if anyone else had this and if they can help me...im slowing sinking into a depression over it. 😒 the annoying g sensation is driving me mad

Hi Mary, your GP has said your cervix is low so that is probably why you think you have a prolapse. Have you been doing pelvic floor exercises? The womens health physio will give you some great help in that direction so that may be all you need That is the first thing to try.Was it a normal birth or taking a long time? Are you breast feeding? That kidney infection is bound to be making you feel wretched as well as having a young baby to care for.

Try to treat yourself kindly and sit with your feet up as much as possible during the day. I am sure that with exercises this will tighten up eventually. You dont say how old you are and is this your first baby?

its my 2nd baby, plus 2 miscarriages. First was normal birth with stitches 2nd baby was almost 9lb and no stitches but labour was short but a lot of hard pushing at the end. im trying to do the exercises not sure if I'm doing them correctly and I'm seeing a physio on Friday. I'm doing ok just the feeling down below is so so annoying its all I can think of. its not sure just like one of those annoying coughs that doesn't go away. gp said it cervix doesn't shrink back up I may need It stitched by up?
