Hi i was wondering if anyone could give me any help or advice regarding vomiting and nausea, i have had various tablets from the doctor they are not working.

Basically i had my gallbladder removed 18 months ago i still suffer with regular flare ups which consist on abdominal pain which i have learnt to deal with even though it can get severe but the one thing i cannot handle is nausea and vomiting. I started with a flare up friday which started with abdominal pain but the had severe nausea and the vomiting i finally stopped being sick early hours of sunday morning around 1am i feel absolutely drained and still cannot eat anything now. I need any tips or ways of dealing with the nausea and vomiting im at my wits end now

Please can anyone help me?

Have you tried magnesium citrate or b12 supplements? You may have stones built up in your liver still and the easier it is for your body to break down fats the better off you will be. I also find having lean protein within an hour of waking helps prevent nausea. Alternatively you may have ovarian cysts. Have you been checked for them? If the flare ups tend to happen mid cycle that would make it more likely. They tend to swell when progesterone rises which can put pressure on other organs leading to pain nausea and vomiting

Endrometriosis has the same symptoms on the stomach after gallbladder removal as ovarian cysts.  My ovarian cysts are caused by endrometriosis.  I have a post operative mass in the gallbladder site after it has been removed that they still don't know what is causing it.  It could be a gallbladder remnant or they are saying endrometriosis.  It is unbelievable how they all seem to work together to make your life hell.  And any Specialist you see in either area likes to the blame the other areas speciality as causing the issues.  I take medication to supress stomach acid, anti nausea medication which works and hard core pain relief.  I just need this removal operation to work.  I want and need my life back!

When I was pregnant (with gb problems) my doctor prescribed a phenergen cream that I rubbed on my wrist. Worked like magic. Must be a compound pharmacy.

I was having minor issues and got prescribed Zofran (Anti-nausea). I also had nausea and reflux after having mine out and that has gone away now that I take Colestid (Bile acid sequestrant that bind bile acids in the small intestine). When I asked my doctor if bile reflux was causing me to vomit and be suddenly nauseated when on an empty stomach, she said that bile reflux could cause that. The body doesn't have a way of concentrating bile so it just leaks into the small intestine now and wreaks havoc. Otherwise, there is a thing called Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction, that is more of a mechanical issue that occurs even without a gall bladder. Usually that's what is suspected if the abdominal pain is continued after gall bladder removal. Good luck.
