Help! Anyone else experience tingling/nerve pain AFTER an outbreak??

I've been having this tingling/itching/burning nerve pain on my inner thighs and back of thighs for almost 2 weeks now. A couple of days before I had a couple of tears/cuts on my perineum. I never had them swabbed so havent confirmed whether its GH but i have a bad feeling it might have been an outbreak. The GUM clinic doesnt offer blood test only swab so theres no way for me to know whether it was herpes. Has anyone experienced anything similar before? If so how long does it typically last? cant find much info online about nerve pain after an outbreak.

I had exactly this when i had my outbreak.
burning and itching of thighs and buttoks.
along with horrendous abdominal waves of cramps.
was fully healed after 3 weeks of antivirals

thanks for getting back to me! how soon after starting the anti virals did you start to feel improvement? what have your subsequent outbreaks been like? and are you on suppression therapy or do you only take antivirals during an outbreak?
my gp has given me a 7 day course of aciclovir, i'm on the third day and i feel like its getting worse 😦 its driving me insane

i messed up taking mine! i was meant to take 3 a day even though the packet had am and pm!
was about five days after i started before i saw improvement in the infection.
i was too late starting them, they should be taken from the 1st symptom, but i thought i had thrush or stubble rash.
it was my first outbreak. so no suppression.
its been 13 weeks and im just getting another outbreak now, have the first leasion thismorning.
so will phone gp in the morning for another course.
it was about a week after they fully healed (3-4 weeks from start of outbreak) that the burning and itching on my thighs and buttocks stopped.
my first outbreak was horrendous. very painful and widely spread.
they healed quicker the drier i kept them, salt water and lots of talc helped.
