Help. Can anyone tell me if this is normal for HS?

I had a particularly bad spot on my inner thigh. I started treating it with the lotion my doctor prescribed. It burst open while i was asleep one night and now a couple days later I noticed this pea sized hole in the center of the affected area. I’m worried about it healing properly. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Yeah I had one such wound a couple months back, wasn’t getting healed because that area is generally sweaty and I live in Arizona so...

Get a wound wash first aid cleanser, gauze pads (any will do, there are antibacterial and some honey coated, all of those are good) and zinc oxide ointment and a self adhesive tape from a pharmacy.

Do below after you come back from work, so that it gets whole evening and the night to heal:

Wash the area using cotton swab dipped in the wound wash. Then soak the area dry with some paper towel. apply just a bit of zinc oxide over the wound, apply the sterile gauze pad over it and then use a self adhesive tape to hold it on to your thigh.

In the morning when you get up, just replace the gauze pad with a new one, don’t apply zinc oxide this time. Repeat this for three days, and then see if there is any improvement. If not then I would stop washing with wound wash but apply some oxide twice a day for two more days.

If that also doesn’t help then go to your doctor, the area needs to be dry and clean for it to get healed but somehow you are messing it up and he might be able to tell some trick.

Generally zine oxide helps coat such open wounds and helps it to heal faster and it helped me with one such f****r!
