Hey James,
its weird. because my whole life i was literally afraid to get genital herpes.. WHEN i got it, I was in denial then angry. but after a day or so, IDK why but i didnt care. Youll be surprised how many people got it. and anti virals (for me atleast) made my bumps clear up within a day.

It doesn't look like hsv.It may be ingrown hair, your hair got infected.
HSV2 is not a big deal. It's easy to live with, you can only develop one outbreak all your life time or you can be asymptomatic until you die. few people develop many outbreaks.
HSV blood test is not accurate, the only way to be sure you have hsv is to see a dermatologist ( one that's specialized in venereology) and get a culture for the lesion.
what you have doesn't look like herpes but if you catch it one day no need to be depressed. Herpes can easily be treated with medication, even without medication, the lesions clear but it takes more time without medication. reccurrence is less severe, most people don't develop recurrent outbreaks.
To avoid recurrence, avoid smoking , drinking and do more excercise that strenghen your immune system.

Thanks for the info. I went to urgent care to get them swabbed. The doctor said she didnt THINK it was herpes. She said it didnt look like herpes but she went ahead and cultured the area for herpes testing. So now we sit wait and pray...

hey man I'm in the same boat as you. im currently waiting for my results that should be coming in this week. I soent a lot of time looking up stuff about it and how a lot of people deal with it. It's not as bad as everyone thinks, yes it stays with you for lofe but it doesnt really affect. its not gonna stop you from living your life, you might need to make an adjustment here and there but overall man you will be completely fine especially cuz here there are people who have it and can testify that they still live their lives to the fullest.
