Help claiming pip?

Hi,
I'm new to the group and am looking for some help on wether or not to apply for pip and if people have had success claiming with similar conditions.
I'd firstly be claiming for my partner who suffers from is heart disease, he had 2 heart attacks in 2004 at the age of 40 followed by angioplasty. Subsequently takes 6 tablets a day for heart. 2013 he suffered from bowel cancer and has 3 monthly checks and regular ct scans. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as now he's finding things a lot more difficult and the physcolgical effects that he's having are having a profound effect on him mentally and physically.

People can have numerous conditions with little effect on their daily lives.
Think of how your condition affects you.
That is how you score points and get the benefit.
It is certainly worth applying but be aware you will have to assess yourself at your very worst even if you are not at your worst when you apply.
Good luck.
Keep in touch

As mentioned by other posters it is how your illness/disability affects you in daily activities and mobility.
One of the affects you have mentioned is the physcolgical aspect which is a discriptor for PIP. What the decision maker will be looking for is do you have to prompt or assist in preparing/cooking a simple meal, washing/bathing, dressing, monitoring a health condition or threapy, reading/writing, sight and hearing, budgetting decisions and how far your husband can walk.
Someone with severe heart disease would almost certainly require personal care and mobility assistance.
From what you have mentioned at first sight it would seem your husband could qualify. Pop along to your nearest Citizens Advice and ask about PIP.
