Has anyone had the same experience? I have no motavation or energy and tired all the time. I want to change to another depression med & my psychiatrist is giving me a hard time. She said that Zoloft didn't work for me so what's left.....well there are sooo many antidepression drugs out there & I feel something else might work without the side effects mentioned above. Don't know what to do & heard cymbalta is hard to get off.

I've been on it since October of2016 and I've gone off of it for a week or more at a time because I had no choice the pharmacy wouldn't do the refill because according to their system or the government system I wasn't yet able to get it so unless I can afford the cost of the drug (which I can't) I have to do without until the system allows me to get it, not even my doc can override the system (we've tried).
But my experience isn't apparently normal for the drug, but its normal for me was off cold turkey for another drug that you are supposed to wean off of, but I went cold turkey off of it and no side effects, so to be its called it depends on the dosage, your body itself and how it responds to drugs in general.

Hi, you do not give the reason why you are taking Cymbalta. Different ant
i-depressants work for one person and may not work for another. They are
Also used for off labled use for other condtions. Im taking Cymbalta for
Nerve pain. It makes me tired and sluggish. No motivation as well. A bit
Of weight gain to top it off. Oh, constipation to. I‘ve been on it now for 2
months. I probably will try it for 2 more months, but can't see staying on
either.

I haven't tried wellbutrin but it is also an anti smoking medication so that might be a good idea for you
it's also supposed to be activating rather than sedating ,which might help your motivation and energy.
but it can cause anxiety.

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if you stuck it out or changed? I started at 30mg for a month and been on 60mg for over a month and it is not helping. Feel like I'm going mad. Don't know what to do
