Help desperately needed

I was told I had fibro around 8 months ago after spending 6 months off work. During this period I have put on around 1 1/2 stones. I crave sugary food and chocolate constantly and have no self control. I hate feeling overweight and have not the energy for exercise. Has anyone else experienced this and any advice that could be given would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks as I'm so fed up with it x

I have to avoid sugar and chocolate as it irritates my aches and pains, have you spoke to your doctor?

Many thanks - no I haven't as I think they will just say get a grip. I literally crave junk food all the time. I have a small child and find it so hard managing the tiredness. My fiancé has to take on a lot of the childcare at times so I can rest. I just need to stop the cravings and get control again

I did have a similar problem I started raking vitamin B12 tablets and they have helped me a lot both with the craving and the fatigue 😃

I simply cannot get my cravings under control. I hate the weight gain and with a 4 year old the tiredness is so depressing - my partner is exercise mad and that makes me feel worse

I had to stop work last March and have since put on 3 stone, I hate it! Like you I craved sweet things and couldn't exercise. 3 weeks ago I said enough is enough, I joined a Slimming club and started aquafit, I have lost 8.5 lbs so far, and although I am wiped out after Aqua, I get an hour reasonably pain free exercise, but more than that I am starting to like myself again! My cravings are still there but I eat fruit now instead or low calorie treat bars!

Thank you so much for your comments - I've got to make a change one way or the other. I hate feeling so fat and I have to start wedding dress shopping in the new year which makes me feel horrid as I will be such a fatty trying on dresses.

Have your thyroid tested, it's part of the fibro problem. At least it was for the doctor I'm seeing as well as myself.

    Hope you feel better soon.
