Horrible but very normal, anxiety likes to change it's game in order to keep scaring you, it does it by throwing in something new because you get used to 'your' symptoms and although they are still horrid you at least know that it's anxiety, you feel reassured to some extent by the familiarity of 'your' symptoms so in comes something different to spike your fear.

At the moment it's doing it to me, body shakes and jelly legs to add to my usual symptoms, I know how drained you feel, I just wish it would go away for once x

I'm just so fed up I spoke to the doctor about speaking to someone he just ignored me and offered me more medication and said go online and look for local anxiety groups I can go to this all started because of something horrible that happned I just think I really need to talk to someone about it

I think talking helps!! I like to talk to people about my problems it helps! I've got CBT next week I had to self refer I was on a waiting list 3 months! If you want a chat please message me I don't mind at all x

I know what you mean about the GP situation, don't get me wrong mine is lovely, I actually have 2 I see but both can only offer more meds which I don't get on well with at all.

I have a CPN but let's just say if she was a teapot she'd be a chocolate one, utterly useless and so impatient.

Are there any places you can self refer to in your area? There might be some counselling or CBT units, it's still free and apparently it's much quicker than going through a GP referral.

My daughter was seen in 3 weeks, I'm going to do it as soon as I feel I can cope with getting there.

Have a search on google or contact MIND, they'll know what's available, good luck x

Iv found one they are going to call me tomorrow hopefully 1st step to getting better

What can I expect will they just teach me to cope better

Great! Yes they help you to think about your anxiety differently and teach you how to cope with it. If it works it'll teach you to realise it's not dangerous and to overcome it smile really hope it works it did for me a few years ago but that was with different symptoms to what I have now x

Just ask your doctor about CBT and ask him for a referral as u think it may be beneficial to you lm sure he won't refuse....tell him u done as he said and joined some groups on here and we have all spoke about it being a great help ....good luck hope he helps u x
