Help! Does this sound like scabies?

Hi everyone, 

So I work in a nursing home and they have recently discovered one of the residents has scabies, so we are extra cautious with protective equiptment etc, when I finish my shift my daughter is always in bed I go straight upstairs to shower and put my uniform in the laundy, on Friday my 3 year old had 3 spots on her face, today her face is covered with a rash like small pimples all over, some are scabbed, some are filled with pus and it has also spread to her neck, chest and arms, tonight when she had her bath I also noticed a few pus filled spots on her buttocks, could this be scabies? Doctors said its a viral infection.

Also when we found out a resident at work had scabies all staff were given permethrin for themselves and family as precaution so I treated myself, daughter and partner with it on sunday. However it is now spreading, also I dont have any signs or symptoms so surely Id of had something first?
