Help!! First time vertigo

Posted , 3 users are following.

I had an ear infection about 6 weeks ago. I woke up a week later after the ear infection with extreme vertigo. Ever since the vertigo my ear has fealt full or slightly off. I have had one other vertigo attack about 1 week ago. I had an mri and everything was fine. there is no infection or no swelling. I'm so confused on why my ear still feels full. I have no hearing loss or ringing. Has anyone else has similiar expereince? I'm scared that if I fly or start exercising again that it may make it worse and cause me to have a vertigo episode.

Probably still have fluid build up from the infection. Doc has me on a diuretic to get rid of mine.

Yeah the same happened to me 2 months ago. I'm still suffering through mine which is learning towards Labyrinthitis or Vestibular Neuritis. I've suffered 2 ear infections through this whole ordeal, one in both my ears.

I have tinnitus in my right ear but no hearing loss or fullness.

I don't suffer from vertigo anymore, but I did have two bouts of it in my first week and second week, but I suffer from constant dizziness "false motion" 24/7, mine was severe during my first moth but seems to be subsiding now into my 8th week of this illness.

If I was you I'd get checked by your GP then push for a referral to a ENT then most likely depending on how long your symptoms are still present maybe a referral to a neurotologist. Don't bother going to a neurologist and try not to get confused between the two. A neurotologist is a ENT specialist and neurologist in one, they specialise in ear disorders and balance issues.

These types of disorders are very misunderstood and hard to get a quick diagnosis for. I'm still in the process of mine.

Hang in there, it will get better within time. Try not to stress too much since anxiety is common with these illnesses.
