HELP for my son

My son has been diagnosis with Retinal Vein Occlusion. Doctors said there is nothing that can be done. Quit a few years ago someone posted about using Chinese herbs. My son now has yarrow and Celosia drinking twice a day. Has not shown any improvement in two weeks. The post did not say how long the person use the herbs. If anyone has any idea that could help it would be greatly appreciated

Hey there GeorgyGirl. I'm sorry to hear about your son's affliction. I've not heard of this Retinal Vein Occlusion before but I'm a believer in Chinese natural medicines. Stay with it for awhile. My Internist knows a lot about Chinese herb remedies so I'll ask him if he knows anything.

He is going to try for maybe two months then if nothing changes stop taking. If you could ask your internist that would be amazing. I just feel so bad for him. He is so afraid he will lose all his vision. Thank you so much for answering my post

I had a similar problem albeit mine was a blocked carotid artery just below the eye. The only fix for this is NOT medication but surgery. I presume you have consulted with a Vascular surgeon??

Thank you for your reply. He was told surgery may make it worse. He doesn't want to risk it

Hey there again Georgygirlo. My Internist finally got back to me. He wasn't able to comment on the current or alternative treatment for your son. My humble advice would be to continue to seek answers for your son's ailment by seeking out other doctors. I would look for both Opthamologists and VEIN specialists.
