Help for neuropathy in feet (burning, numbness)

Posted , 6 users are following.

I would like to know if anyone uses something other than nerve drugs to help with foot neuropathy. I have many drug allergies and after researching the prescription nerve drugs, I am hesitant to try them. I did try Lyrica but it did not agree with me. I also had an MRI done which showed a perineural cyst in my spine. I called my Dr. to ask about the result but he has not returned my call.

My nerve pain is getting worse. I hope to start physical therapy this week if I feel well enough to drive.

I appreciate any suggestions.

There is very little you can do for neuropathy. I have it in my hands and arms and occasionally my foot. I refused nerve drugs because I react to a lot of things too. I find good hot weather gets rid of my neuralgia.I spend three months in Italy every summer and the constant strong sunlight works a treat.

look up ALPHA LIPOIC ACID capsules 600 mg. I take them for sometimes unbearable burning pins and needles and numbness in my leg from my thigh to my knee due to discs in my back pressing on a nerve. They work well for me. The only side effect can be heartburn. If taken with a large glass of water and avoiding taking them before bedtime, they work well. I wouldn't like to be without them now.

Hope this is of some help.

I would take these tablets with milk which coats the stomach and helps get rid of heartburn. Water does nothing for an acidic stomach.

B50 complex can help. So can Inositol 1000mg, acety L carnitine 2000mg. I found out about these recently and will have to buy them. Also 16 oz. celery juice on an empty stomach when u wake up in the morning can help too.
