Help? Hernia in groin/pelvic area

Posted , 3 users are following.

Has anyone ever experienced femoral hernia? It's very large in my groin area and very visible to the eye. I'm a real basket case for hernias I've had a total of 8 repairs with mesh all in different areas of the abdominal wall. This one is lower than my stomach and intestine had pushed through. The story of my life!

I have never had a femoral hernia, just an inguinal hernia and an umbilical hernia. The only thing is, the first one was from doing a couple of sit-ups, and the second one was from six toe touches. Neither of those thing is supposed to cause hernias unless something else is wrong. An MRI showed that I have a pars defect ( a type of broken back) that they said everything about me is related to it. And possibly the reason my abs have shut down. Needless to say I'm very careful about anything having to do with the abdominal wall and muscles. In fact I do physical therapy for them. mostly planks ( a kind of exercize). Perhaps it's time for an MRI and/or physical therapy.

Thanks for your response! I'm hoping to get an mri soon for some reason they keep doing ct scans on me and most images are not clear enough.
