HELP! I am so exhausted when due on period, what can I do or what supplements can I take to help?

Hi all! I am new to this forum and was seeking some advice.

I am 42 and definitely peri menopausal. I went to see a private gynaecologist regarding peri menopause symptoms and was prescribed HRT (3 x sprays of Lanzetto) and also testosterone gel.

Although some of my symptoms are relieved and I get some of my energy back after my period, for best part of 10 days leading up to and during I feel extremely exhausted and I could easily sleep all day even though I get a good 8 hours sleep at night.

I take a good multivitamin and vitamin D but Is there another supplement I could try.

Also do you think I should try maybe a different HRT.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated xx

true. even full 8 hour sleep can be useless for feeling refreshed thanks to lovely menopause.

    dear louise-

so sorry you suffer meno issues as well! Its just simply awful. Exhaustion is overwhelming during peri and post meno for many women. post menopause has not improved my energy , but for some women it does. can I just caution you to not spend lots of money, seeking a supplement to help the exhaustion? Please read lots of reviews for supps before purchase. I have read women say ( and experienced first hand) nothing helps exhaustion from hormone fluctuations. at least for MANY people. No vitamin/herb any kind.....wether from this country or any other/acupuncture/diet/mineral/probiotic or tea has assisted me. Ive spent ...1,300$$$ or thereabouts? HRT which Im on for 2.5 years doesnt help, but it at least allows me strong bones. I eat excellent diet/exercise. Healthy as that is, helps me not, regarding exhaustion and extreme insomnia.

wishing you energy and being well!
