Hi I really need some advice I've been diagnosed with fibro now 2 years living with it 5years.
But I'm in a different type of pain now. I can't stand upright and have stabbing pains in both my legs and lower back.
My parents are away ( I live with them) my boyfriends workin and my sister is away for the weekend too.
I don't no what to do. Should I go to the hospital or not.
I'm in agony please help!

Golly I'm so sorry to,hear how you are feeling at the moment. My partner (who is 57) of two years has had it for many years so I do have an understanding of what you are having to deal with.
I do not think she gets the stabbing pains you are describing but she does ache all over. Gets very tired and suffers from bad headaches.
Setting aside FM for a moment if I had the symptoms you are describing I would be thinking of muscle spasm. If your back is out of true this can cause these problems and can usually be sorted out by a good chiropractor. These days I'm usually able to fix it because I've been able to use the pressure points techniques which was demonstrated to me by my chiropractor many years ago. I really don't think the hospital will do anything apart from, giving you painkillers which I expect you already have.
If you need any help please let me know and I will gladly give you my number in a private message so I can talk you through how to do it.
Cheers Richard

Thanks Richard. The only way which I can describe it is nerve pain. It's nothing like fibromyalgia pain. I broke my leg last September and I can easily say this pain is worse.
I was thinking of calling out of hours doctor instead of going to a&e but like u said they'll
Just give more painkillers.
It's worse that I'm on my own right now.

I understand and from what you are describing I think that I'm on the right track. Is the pain when you are standing, sitting down and or when you lie down?
Cheers Richard

All of the above. I've had spasms before and the them regularly too.
This is why it's really hurting both physically and mentally

I've had pain like that before. It was from a bulging disc that was pressing on nerves. Sent my husband to the drugstore for a TENS unit & put that on & within about 30 mins I could move around normally again, although very slowly. Now, I keep one of those available at all times in case I need it. Its not related to my fibro; but is a spinal problem. I have a bulging disc which sometimes pops out too far, but mostly stays far enough away from the nerve endings that the pain isn't excruitiating.
