help !i forgot to take steroids

I need some advice quickly  please -i have been in lot of pain todayand coukd not understand why -until i  went upstairs for something and saw my 7  mg steroids at the side of  my bed.i usually take them at 2am with slice of bread and drink --but i must have beeen so tired i have eaten the bread and took drink but left steroids CANT BELIEVE IT NO WONDER I HAVE BEEN IN PAIN -STUPID ME -hope ive done the right thing as i have taken them now at 7.30 pm as realise it is dangerouse to go without any  at all --i am panicking now ..

    Jean, stop panicking. I forgot to take mine once, I normally take them at 7am and only when in the evening I began feeling very ill did I remember that I hadn't taken that days preds, which was 10mgs at that time. I took the missed dose immediately, then the next day took that dose at 12 noon then the following day took it at the correct time.

    basicly, if you've taken today's a little late, then simply work it back in tomorrow and then the next day at the correct time.

    When I did that I realized it quite late in the day, in fact 12 hours after, or before, regular dose time.  I took 1/2 my dose and then the regular dose in the morning as usual.  The papers that came with my first prescription say to take medication as soon as you remember it, unless it's nearly time for the next dose, in which case you'd just take the next dose.  So you've done the right thing.  Hope you feel better now!
