I had something spots develop at the beginning of lock down that i was advised looked like molluscum contagiosum. They all went away in a few months but i have red bumps forming all over my butt/around my vagina but my doctor is not taking in office appointments to look at them. i work a job where i sweat a lot so i thought maybe pimples but does anyone know what these look like? I'm really anxious about it. i havent had sex since march.imageimageimage

these look very much like molluscum contagiosum. if they didnt completly heal last time, itching could have spread them. do you have a weakened immune system? its a viral infection and people with comprimised immune systems are more prone to get them even though its considered an STD it can be spread through skin to skin contact. did you throw out the razor you were using? dont share towels bedding or clothes. try warm oatmeal baths. if you cant get into your regular doctor try an OBGYN or local health clinic just to be safe.

Thank you for your reply. I dont have any health issues that would weaken my immune system but perhaps they could've spread from rubbing on my clothing, they flared back up after i went back to work. i am going to try to get an appt with a doctor. i dont have an obgyn yet since im still fairly young

yeah absolutley its recommended that once you become sexually active to get an OB to do yearly testing and papsmears. so i would advise to do that or to go to your local health clinic

Molluscum contagiosum typically resolves without scarring but may take as long as 4 years

if the bumps are bothersome there is in office procedures that can be performed to remove them 😃
