Hey guys i recently found out i have phimosis but was just wondering if the foreskin flowering like that when pulling back as far as possible is normal? I have been to the doctors and mentioned about balanitis and have been prescribed some anti fungal cream. Was just wondering if you guys think this is balanitis or not or whether i should continue to stretch.

Jamie, I successfully dealt with Phimosis by stretching my foreskin, this took many months to achieve and as there was no internet at the time I was not sure whether what I was doing would have a beneficial impact.
So lets take a look at the photo you have posted: this shows your foreskin in a totally relaxed situation, so I am unsure what you mean by " when pulling back as far as possible is normal " - from what I see this looks completely normal.
Unfortunately the photo is not clear enough to show ANY irritation, let alone, what the cause or correct description of that may be.
If you can get some clear images taken in bright daylight (in private obviously) that would help - you need to be over 18 to post images on here, so try to upload them directly onto this Forum page, you may need to do that from a Laptop or PC / Mac - post 2 or 3 with your foreskin fully dawn back towards your body if you can, and 1 or 2 others showing what the doctor may have said is Balanitis ......

Hey sorry i have tried to upload the photos to the website but it says the file is too big so i have had to use gyazo again. The first pic here https://gyazo.com/79230de64d76c5fda852b204d7dde585
This is when there is no pulling back and normal.

The second pic shows the furthest i am able to pull back due to it being too tight. The balanitis / inflamed part is in the second pic where the foreskin flowers out at the top as i thought that was inflamed.
I am confident that i will be able to fix the phimosis with stretching but was just wondering if i should wait to see if this "inflamed" area goes down after putting this anti fungal cream on from the doctors.

Jamie, have you recently had unprotected penetrative sex? This would be the usual cause if you had. Did the Doctor say anything to you about the Phimosis?
Why is your foreskin inflamed do you know? Have you been trying to stretch your foreskin?
It is easier to post images on here from a Laptop, PC or Mac ....

No form of sex, and i saw two doctors one said about a circumcision straight away with no alternatives, and the other doctor said about stretching and that which i am confident will work. I have recently tried stretching and i have already seen some progress but as far as the inflamed foreskin i am unsure and the cream i have put on has not done much in terms of making it less inflamed. However maybe it is not inflamed completely and i just need to stretch it or something... Also today i was able to pull the foreskin back further and saw that the frenulum is attached just below the head of the glans im not sure if this is normal of not.

Jamie, can you tell me in what country you saw the Doctor who said you needed to get circumcised straight away with no alternatives?
As far as I am concerned the Doctor is a complete disgrace to the profession.
What is the cream you are using? Was this prescribed by one of the Doctor's?
Most likely your frenulum is as it should be.

I am from the UK, and the cream is a Clotrimazole 1% that was prescribed by the other Doctor. I have been stretching and have seen really good progress so far.

Unless you are not dealing with your personal hygiene correctly you would only need to use Clotrimazole if you are sexually active.
I have just looked at the photos you have posted again and I can see dry skin on the shaft of your penis. The cause of this is most often soap and body cleansers such as shower gel.
I would suggest washing the penis with water only, particularly around the tip and head area with water only. You should do this every time the area is wet, as it is in the first photo. You must keep the area as moisture free as possible - initially at least, wash with water every time you urinate, if you masturbate you must fully clean up afterwards.
Essentially, urine, pre-ejaculate and semen can become the enemy of health skin and as I say, any moisture that collects in the area can become a real problem. You need to have towels at home that only you use and you need to use a clean dry towel to throughly dry your penis with.
Are you following any guide to stretch your foreskin? If you have any problems, or even get to the point where you feel like giving up then simply update your Forum post here and I can guide you further on what to do .......

Hey sorry for the late reply been busy lately, thanks for all the info ill make sure to refer back to it. Also regarding the clortrimazole i have been applying it twice a day and have not seen much improvement in terms of the look of the foreskin. However i have had good success with the stretching which i do in the shower and can now expose more of the head. I am not following any guide and kind of just stretching as i can. I have also just started cleaning and keeping my hygiene better by trying to clean under the foreskin as much as possible but it is still hard due to not being able to fully pull back.
Thanks again for all the help i really appreciate this.

Why were you given the clortrimazole? How long have you been using it? Are you currently sexually active?

I could be wrong, but I don't think clortrimazole will change how your foreskin looks.
Try washing your foreskin and head area of your penis with water only as often as you can, the other essential when you do this is to make sure the entire area is completely dry. For this, you need a clean dry towel that only you use.
You can update your Forum Post here at any time, but when you have any changes notify them on here ......

Hey i have continued stretching and seen very good progress however today i managed to pull my foreskin all the way back while flacid, but it got caught behind the head and had difficulty going back up and i panicked. I have read about a condition where it gets stuck behind the head and requires imediate treatment. So i squeezed the head and managed to get the foreskin back over. Where should i go from here.

Jamie, this is completely a natural part of the development of you stretching your foreskin, it shows you have some progress yet to make on that.
I had phimosis, and yes I did this several times before I sufficiently stretched my foreskin.
You were merely being a bit too adventurous - thankfully you did not try to do this when you were erect. The technique you used to overcome this is a useful one to practice anyway - once you become confident using it you will know how to deal with this if it does happen when you have an erection. So squeezing the head, getting an ice pack, or something like a bag of frozen peas from the freezer if you get in a panic are useful back-ups to know about.
So, you keep on with the stretches, but, try not to be as adventurous until you can feel there is good movement in your foreskin, and therefore, the problem is less likely to happen.
If you are not applying anything to your foreskin at the moment you could try a very light coat of liquid coconut oil, you do not need much, use it, say every other day, preferably after you have taken a shower and dried yourself, as the foreskin is more flexible then.

I can only agree with wee_dug here. I had a really tight foreskin when i was young and it took years of stretching until it retracted when erect without pain. I was probably around 29-30 before mine actually worked properly!

There are useful tips on stretching the foreskin at Wiki How - I cannot post external web addresses so use this as a search term

Hey Wee_Dugie
I am not sure if you are still active on here but I got a question if you are.
I have got really lazy with stretching but have started again recently. Today I was able to pull down to see the bottom of my glans and noticed it was a bit white / discoloured - I assume this is just smegma built up that I will wash off with water over time. I still have not had the confidence to pull it over the bottom of the glans and retract the full skin the whole way as I am worried it will get stuck. I am confident that it is able to go over the entire glans but I don't know how to know when I am ready to pull it the whole way back. There has also been improvement while erect as I can now pull the foreskin back more but am unable to go to the glans while erect. I assume I should just keep on stretching and hoping it fixes. But my main question is how do I know when I am ready to fully pull the foreskin back past my glans while flaccid?

What you are doing for your foreskin and frenulum when you do the stretches is that you are developing suppleness, elasticity and resilience - in a similar way you would train muscles by doing gym exercises.
Like a gym exercise you need to continue with the stretches until your foreskin is able to achieve full-exposure of your glans easily when non and fully erect. This is a continual process, you cannot stop while building resilience as simply your foreskin will return to the way it was previously, to some degree or another.
In terms of your final question the only way to find out is to try - if you experience pain then stop - but as I say, with regularly doing the exercises, developing elasticity at the same time you will incrementally be able to expose more AND your foreskin and frenulum will be more able to deal with the requirements of this.
You should see the stretches as something you do on a regular basis of at least 3 days a week, you should add repetitions and the amount of time you hold each stretch, constantly as you are doing the stretches. To the point where you are doing stretches every other day - you can also do elements of the stretch exercises each time you take a shower, or go to bed, or make up in the morning - by doing this your stretch regime will be much more effective and you will reach full-stretch quicker and more safely.
