Help!!! I know I’ll get a telling off for this

Posted , 5 users are following.

So I’m 3 weeks post hysterectomy (ovaries and tubes left) and anterior repair due to prolapse and massive fibroids and I stupidly did the deed and at the time it was fine, no pain etc and just felt very different not having the cervix there. I know I will get a telling of for this and I’m already feeling really stupid. Thing is I have felt fantastic since having it done, slimmer, no pain, no bleeding just great. We were gentle, lube etc but the next day I was in agony. Sharp pains, feeling bruised etc and very slight pink discharge. I’m too embarrassed to tell the doctor. Pain has eased after resting but I feel so stupid I might had messed it up down there. Has anyone been as foolish as me? What was the outcome? Feel free to shame me and warm me of what might happen now 😭 feeling foolish and depressed

Hello Kelly don't feel to bad you felt good enough to do it at the time and over did things. I had bleeding after walking too much trying to get better quickly. So that I could leave hospital as they kept me in for days after yes they did point out it was because I over did things . But all I had to do was rest for a day or 2 and the bleeding stopped unfortunately it delayed my leaving! It was like a small start of a period I was shocked though as I had felt fine walking. You are bruised and battered inside and it takes weeks to heal taking it easy in the beginning will help you heal quicker in the long run. If you have excessive pain and bleeding then you will need to contact your Dr or hospital and be honest there is nothing they can do to you after all just state the obvious, your probably feeling silly doing something you maybe shouldn't of but you won't be the 1st I can assure you. Good luck

    Hi Kelly,

I can't imagine how you must feel.  I would really encourage you to contact your dr.  You could have just opened the door (so speak) to a possible infection, and the dr would be able to maybe start you on an antibiotic.  I am not a medical professional, but it seems to me that you do not want an infection. Your body wasn't ready for that and I am sorry that your partner did not understand that.  I had this surgery the same time you did and can't imagine at this stage enduring that.  I pray you are ok and again, hope you will have a chat with someone at your dr's office to avoid any trouble.  Thanks for sharing...none of this is easy and I hope you can wait the next few weeks until a green light from your Dr.  Bless you.
