Hi All,

Hoping Someone CanHi All,

Hoping Someone Can shed some light on my situation,

I'm 44 will be 45 in July and last year I went through what I assumed to be perimenpause,

I was referred to a gynecologist by my doctor, as I wanted a child and I've never conceived,

My periods returned to normal months ago and the hot flushes too,

My gynecologist sent me for a scan to see what my ovaries were like, the woman told me she could see a follicle on my left ovary which was a good sign I could conceive,

I've been really mad because I recently found out I had a prolactinoma (raised prolactin levels) and had done since 2016!

When I read it can make you infertile I was livid why couldnt one doctor tell me this,

My gynecologist referred me to see an Endocrinologist, but he sent a letter back saying my raised levels of prolactin levels were most probally due to my medication I take for my 7cm hiatus hernia (my reflux surgery is meant to go ahead this month),

I've been taking omepraprozole for 2 years and that's what the Endocrinologist blamed,

This month my period was late 2 weeks and I was having really sore breasts (back like I did when I was in my teenager - early 20,s before my period,

I rang my doctor worried because the pain was getting worse and I really thought I might be pregnant,

But that morning my period came, the doctor said "you most probally had a miscarriage and your sore breasts will ease when your period is over",

Well it wasn't a "normal" period is was light and yet its now been in total 3 weeks of sore breasts, it did ease when I had my period but its back and worse,

It feels like I'm carrying extra weight in both breasts, like I need to lift them to ease the pain,

And my nipples hurt too,

So I don't know whether I'm going down the perimenpause path or it's my raised prolactin levels,

What's worse is its Friday and the doctors are now not open until Monday,

I've taken cocodamol to try and relieve the pain but nothing worksHi All,

I've always heard sore breasts -especially nipples are a sign of estogen dominance. My doctor suggested evening primrose for that. I had the oil but I think you can get it as a pill too. I'm not much of a pill taker so I used the oil. I'm on BHRT and post meno. If my breasts or nipples get sore, I just rub a bit more of progesterone cream on. I only use over the counter all natural progesterone cream as the prescription was too strong and made me nauseous and gave me headaches. When you are in peri, progesterone levels are the first to drop-so I've been told, which accounts for the sore breasts, anxiety, etc. Maybe your doc can check levels?

Are you in the UK? Because id rather buy some cream rather than prescription,

If you are in the UK, what is it called? I'll try to get some on amazon,

Yes I get anxiety ive had the worst night time panic attacks which some nights I'm sleeping in the car in the car park of the hospital, because I'm convinced I'm going to die

I've had many ambulances here, because of my age they themselves think heart attack and send one out and I've had to apologise and end up crying, and I had one paramedic tell me the worst panic attacks can mimic signs of a heart attack and the more we worry the more signs we let our minds believe we have,

Perimenpause is just awful, I also wake every 2 to 3 hours a night,

At the moment I'm in bed all day watch TV because I have no energy at ALL, and that I'm so low

Thank you for answering me xx

I'm in Texas. But I've bought great stuff from amazon-smoky mountain is the name, I think. I've also bought good over the counter products from compounding pharmacies. If you do a search on amazon, you'll see their top sellers and highest reviewed products. Thats how I made my decision on which one to try.
