Help....I need some advice

I woke up Sunday with a rash on my right hip. I thought it was bed bugs bc I travel for my job. Monday I was having a hard time swallowing. Tuesday I was really having a hard time swallowing so went to an out of town doc. Was told I had shingles but not given meds. Went to a different doctor on Wednesday and she gave me predisone. Then went to my regular doctor on Thursday and she gave me liquid Acyclovir. Rash has improver and never oozed or crusted and tingling in throat is now spells of burning. Used a make up wipe on my eye last night and hurt so worried in my eye.....could be my imagination but eyes seems blurry. Any advice? Words Of wisdom? My level of anxiety is ridulous. Can I get a rash actually IN my throat? Almost feels like heartburn.

    I wonder if you have genital herpies.. contact with someones outbreak is contagious. It can be on any part of the body. So many men have it but don't tell. It should be a criminal act. If you had a certain kind of sex, it could be in your oral area. What did your doctor say? My wife has spent a lifetime regreting a sexual mistake. If that is the case, I am so sorry. Depending how you handle things, you may want to discuss it with someone.

    sounded like you may have had something in your thoat. My CPA (female) has outbreaks in her mouth during tax season. These things happen. I'm glad it isn't. When I was a kid, vennerial desease meant antibiotics, now it's not so easy. Herpies and shingles are very similar. I don't have either but my wife has both. I see the outbreaks.

      Unfortunately, Herpes Simplex can cause severe oral and genital lesions that some clinicians are unable to distinguish from the lesions of Herpes Zoster-Shingles. The lesions of Herpes Zoster-Shingles actually are distinct from Simplex, in that they are not uniform in appearance and size, and occur in crops. Also, Herpes Zoster-Shingles follow a dermatome distribution, usually one dermatome. An excellent clinician should be able to diagnose the disease, prescribe an antiviral, appropriate analgesics including strong Opioids, and an anticonvulsant, either Lyrica or Neurontin, and followup.

      It is disheartening to me when many physicians get the diagnosis wrong, or fail to prescribe the antivirals in a timely fashion, and the patient ultimately pays the price.

      Doesn't Herpes Simplex show up in your mouth and private areas?  At this point, I only have a rash on my right hip.  Although I have the tingling/numb/slight burning in my throat, I havent seen a rash yet.....fingers crossed that only the rash on my hip smile

      Herpes simplex is a sexually transmitted disease in which the blisters are in the oral, and anal-genital areas. The blisters are uniform in size and appearance.

    thank you for your response, my wifes shingles on her butt is always in the same place. There is a scar always in that spot. The herpes is in her vaginal area and I don't know exactly how it looks since we are careful so I avoid it. The shape on her butt is well defined. Is it possible whats on her butt is also herpies, not shingles. What's on her butt came after we wed.. the herpies was before.. 25 years approx.
