Hi my name is Ashley I am 26 years old and I have had health problems since I was basically 13 and doctors don't seem to listen or care they just all blame it on my scoliosis and life stituations. At 13 I started having excruciating pain and I got back braced and wound up spinal fusion now I have joint pain in all my joints .eapically my wrist , neck and hips. I have a headaches often which they blame on my TMJ. I also have nausea ,depression ,anxiety, dizziness , fatigue ,trouble sleeping even im always exhausted i still toss and turn all night due to joint pain and muscle aches. Also i geel as though i am about to pass out all the time. Ive tried getting help from multiple doctors but they always jump tto easy conclusions , no test necsarry or they treat me like i am an addict which i am not . I just want to find the cause as i believe its one thing not several like they try to say and get treated . I told them i dont want narcoatics and i dont expect my pain to be at a zero which they always like to say i havee unrealiatic standards of zero pain. Hello doctor were you listening !? i dont expect zero pain i just hope to get it to a 5 or 6 as i average at an 8-10 never lower than an 8. My life is basically unlivable but they say cause i dont cry that im not in as much pain as i say i am. Hello ive been like this for 13 years you adjust somewhat im somewhat used to it. I use distraction . I pay action to what i see nd what my hand feel every moment cause it kinds me from focusing on my pain and yes i have tramadol and ibuprofen that provide teensy Wincy bit of relief. Also has anyone ever been really sick for two weeks ? After a while things pile up like your stinky laundry , dishes and your body lol . So even though your still as sick as your were two weeks Ago you force yourself up and clean. So yes due to my will i am able to work part time that is not due to lack of pain. I think this could ve fibromyalgia . Thoughts????

Oh my! You have had your share of symptoms sweetie. I'm sorry to hear that the doctor does not take your complaints very seriously. Many who have Fibromyalgia have been labeled with all kinds of things, mostly hypochondriacs and given meds and more meds. Could you change doctors completely sweetie and try to get a fresh new outlook on your condition? I certainly would in your shoes. You could then ask him or her to send you to a Rheumatologist. This specialist will be able to pinpoint symptoms and pain and do testing to determine if you have Fibromyalgia. It really sounds to me like you do. Have you had all the other tests sweetie to determine if you don't have some kind of Thyroid disease or other ailment? That would be a good starting point also. I would of course encourage you to eat very healthy my dear girl. Vitamins and nutrients are an absolute must for your overal health. Try to stay away as much as possible to sugar which is really not good for Fibro sufferers. I myself make green smoothies to ensure that I am getting enough nutrients. There are some really good recipes online. Magnesium is also very important to us. I add natural cocoa powder to coffee to enrich it. I only drink organic coffee as well since the normal ones are full of preservatives and pesticides. I see you do not want to take too many chemical meds which, to me,  is a very wise course. I have had Fibro for over 30 years and I only take a tiny amount at crisis moments such as severe insomnia or a bad migraine. So nurture your body sweetie. You have had a great deal of stress due to your health since you were in your teens. It takes a toll. If you do have FM, don't despair. You are certainly not alone and this condition is manageable. Yes there is still no cure but there have been advancements in adapting to it. The people here are very caring and they understand. Acceptance is a key to coping with FM and knowing your limitations. Don't get discouraged sweetie because that puts a road block in front of you and hampers your recovery. Try to remain optimistic and read and learn about this condition. Knowledge is everything in life sweetie. Warm gentle hugs! Maggie xx

Thanks so much. I have switches doctors a few times over the years but i think the first rude doctor that i had must of put some kind of note in my file cause every doctor ive had acts like I'm exaggerating or something but in reality i minimize it cause im an overcomer i been through aloy in my life . Also my first doctor as an adult brought up my father to me who was an addict so i think they make assumptions about me.my dad was alive atbthe time and that doctor not only should uave talked to me about it but instill dont really know how that got in my file. I am an honeat person and habe made no attempts to hide it but i think that partially why they treat me like crap which aucks .i actuallly stay away dfeom meds because if him. I am not seeking them but its like they dont hear me. Thanks for the tips. Yes i have been teating for thyroid , its normal.

Well don't give up sweetie. Keep changing doctors if necessary until you get one who truly listens. But we can do a lot to help ourselves as well. Eating as healthy as you can and getting plenty of rest will be of benefit. I hope you feel better soon. xx
