No history of nail trauma, picking, or biting. Pits have been present for some time. Nail is tender over the area of discoloration. Past Medical History significant for Hypertension. Only medication is Lisinopril.

As its tender over the area it sounds like an infection with pus in the nail bed. You should see your doctor for advice and treatment.
