I'm getting married in 4weeks and in the last few days have been getting ms symptoms. It started in my left hand 3days ago I started getting pins and needles then yesterday it travelled up my left arm. Today its in my left hand, arm and up my shoulder and back. I dont know what to do im on lemtrada and dont want to take steroids so close to the big day because they make me puff up, any other ideas of what to do? Should I contact my neurologist? Will it go away on its own?

Thanks

    Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

You're under no obligation to take steroids, the treatments you're offered, to treat MS symptoms aren't obligatory.

The symptoms you're describing sound as if they could be caused by a trapped nerve. I know, from personal experience, that any new sensations we have, particularly weird ones, tend to be put down to MS, once we have our diagnosis. While it's quite likely a new MS symptom, it's up to you to decide if you can live with it until after you're wedding.

Good luck and have a great day.

Congratulations, as Wendy says it may not be Ms. You're probably stressing due to all the prep and nerves and could be holding yourself stiffly, a trapped nerve in your neck may be the issue. See your Dr or osteopath and try relaxation starting with breathing and relaxing your shoulders. Good luck deep breaths ??

I agree with bic, you could look for simple relaxation techniques online, or go for a massage, maybe?!

You're getting married, so you don't need an excuse for being pampered!
