Posted , 4 users are following.

I just got my results for a HPV test. I don’t understand them. Can someone please help?

The results read like those:

HSV 1 IGG

NEG <0.91

Equivocal 0.91-1.09

positive >1.09

HSV 2 IgG

Neg <O.91

Equivocal 0.91-1.09

Positive >1.09

Thank you

So what was on your results ?

under both of these stats is this note:

negative indicates no antibodies detected to HSV 1. Equivocal may suggest early infection. Positive indicates antibodies detected to HSV1. same exact note under HSV 2.

    I don’t access to computer.

    On another sheet, it says

    HSV 1 IGG spec

    <.91

    0-0.90 index

If it’s below or even at 0.91 it is negative.

That’s the result for hsv-1. Negative. So what’s the one for hsv-2?

So then I would say both are negative. But I would call your dr to be 100% sure. They won’t mind looking up your chart and telling you results.
