HELP IS THIS HERPES??

so on friday i woke up with sores near the opening of my vagina, i have been with my partner for 4 months and have been having sex for 3 months. He doesnt have any symptoms of herpes and when i give him oral, i dont get any infection in or around my mouth, i have nothing out of the ordinary other than this problem.
okay so the sores showed up after i shaved, i was in a rush so i used a razor that was not washed and i shaved against the hairs and it bled. i woke up the next day with sores. i didnt think anything of it as i thought it was just from shaving, i then shaved again in a different area and then woke up the next day with the sores there as well. it is horribly painful to pee and move, i have now started leaking a watery mucousy discharge that feels like im on my period. the sores spread onto my vagina lips, near the anus and the inside of my vagina looks. everything is extremely swollen down there and i am in so much pain. could this be herpes? or some sort of infection? should my partner be showing signs as well?

Good reason to think it may be herpes by the looks of it. If your partner has ever contracted the virus, he can spread it even though they may not have any obvious sores from a process known as 'viral shedding.' There are no obvious sores during this event, and it seems herpes is just sometimes contagious through contact with normal looking skin. The infected person is completely unaware of when these events happen. You may want to bring all this up with your partner, and see if he's ever had sores. Also keep in mind it is possible to have the virus and never to have had any sores. Herpes is one heck of an enigma of a virus. The vast majority of people it, so don't get too down on your self if this is what it turns out to be.
Also know there is anti-viral medication available which for many people can't greatly reduce the term and severity of the symptoms.

There's always the possibility, yes. I've been fooled by pics before. Nothing beats being able to assess things in person, which is why you should see a doctor so that he/she can both take a visual assessment and take some swab tests.
Also a typo in the last sentence in my previous message: "can't" should read "can".

Only way to find out is by going to the doctors. Especially while you still have the sores and can get swabbed. You'll get an answer that way. But don't wait until they're gone or you'll probably have to wait until lesions appear again (if they even do, you could be asymptomatic in the end) and will have to wait even longer for a blood test.
Good luck hope it's nothing serious but HSV isn't the be all and end all. Half the world has HSV in one form or another, you may just have the kind that's stigmatised the most

it looks and sounds very similar to herpes. the watery discharge is a common symptom i see. your partner doesnt have to be showing symptoms. most people who have it, dont show symptoms. i would get tested ASAP before the sores start to close up. your partner should get a blood test too to see if he has it. abstain from sex until you both know.

it does look like herpes!
go get tested and some treatment as soon as you can to eliminate the pain and it getting worse! also get your partner to get tested!
he doesnt have to have symptoms to pass it. You could also have contracted it from someone else and it could have just not flared up!
try not to worry! but you need to get answers x
