Help! Itchy irritated red vagina

I recently got my Covid vaccine in September. About 1 week later I developed an itch in my groin folds with no rash. I then got what I believed to be a yeast infection, with obvious white discharge and itching. I used the clotrimazole cream as I had a yeast infection in May. Fast forward to about 3 weeks I noticed a red rash in my vagina opening and the area around. I can't really say there are blisters but its red, inflamed and still have white discharge. I also had a two day period of a very foul odor.
I used the 3 day canesten treatment for yeast. Day 1&2 felt great. I had unprotected sex after my second dose and it exacerbated with a vengeance. I am still itchy and red 5 days after having sex. I visualised the area last night and I am concerned that this could be something more. I have had only one sexual partner since December last year and we have only been with each other. He has no symptoms. I'm waiting to see my GP for further assessment. In the meantime does anyone know what this is?

Could your partner be reinfecting you without having any symptoms of his own? Ask your GP about this.
If you are having unprotected sex while you have a yeast infection he could be picking it up, and then giving it back to you. You both may need medication to take by mouth .This is usually given when the vaginal pessary and cream doesnt work.
Try not to have sex until this is totally cleared up. Then the risk of re infection is minimal. Would your partner go with you to the GP?

Hi Marina_Dee
I went to my GP had swabs done, negative for yeast and BV . She did mention that the vaccine can impact hormones so is thinking it could be vaccine related. STI tests also negative. My partner did offer to come with me to my GP but he did not exhibit any symptoms.

Hi, I've been suffering from anal and vulvar dermatitis since I got the vaccine. I'm negative for everything. I believe it triggered allergies on my end.
Are you using lube?
Could his semen makes you react?

How are you doing since this post? How soon after the vaccine did you notice the dermatitis?

Any change for you? Did you get anything figured out?

My GP prescribed a course of antibiotics and it cleared up quickly. My GP right it could have been BV even if the test was negative.
