First of I am not a doctor or anything like that. I am taking 10 mg Lexapro right now and first couple months I kept getting even stronger anxity but doc gave me Xanex to calm down as needed and now I am better. So if you keep getting anxity and other side effects thats a sign of medicine getting into your system and it takes a while for you to feel better so just stick it out,try not to worry, relax and talk to family or docktor.

Hello.Im on 6th day on escitalopram 5mg. I've got the same side effects. Insomnia, irritation, nausea etc.
I took escitalopram again before 5 years for 5 months. It's a very good medicine... It helps a lot..Be patient, and everything's be alright..

I am on day for of starting Lexapro. I've been on it before and am trying to keep my mind focused on how well it worked for me in the past. But right now, I am having jitters, insomnia, debilitating anxiety...can anyone tell me how long these symptoms lasted for them before they got better? All I want to do is cry. I haven't been to work in a week but know I need to get back...there's no way I could go in like this though.

also, when I was struggling, I was also dehydrated...and began focus on drinking more liquids...including Gatorade. A cup of warm water is a very pleasing evening drink, without caffeine!
Drink liquids, and try to relax thru this early stage. Everything will be OK.
kind regards, Purplecrow
