is it yeast? did have sex with new partner. about a week later it started burning and itching with sticky white discharge and redness around opening. it was burning to pee and I had a rash and swelling on my labia. got monistat 1 cleared up the rash and swelling but thought it was going to burn me to bits. I could not take it. I got as much out as I could. felt a bit better for a couple days. then itch increased. I got a 7 day monistat as I read reviews that it did not burn as much. used it was feeling much better for a couple days but the redness never went away the itch and discharge has come back.

Hi! I know it's always scaring not knowing what's going on with your body but please take some deep breathes, watch something funny, and relax. It sounds like it's a bad yeast infection. But if your discharge has a foul odor it could be BV or some thing else. If you don't have insurance you can go to a sexual health clinic and get checked for a low cost. Another option is to book a virtual appointment with a gyno and get their advice. There are plenty of websites and resources to help you. It's gonna be okay!!
