Help me with my ankle pain

Posted , 3 users are following.

I have a reoccurring undiagnosed ankle problem that forced me to quit playing football a few years ago, since picking football up again last month it’s came back but got worse, I have no prior injury just a pain behind and below my lateral malleous and halfway up my fibula, moving my foot side to side I can make it pop and snap with a sharp pain, anyone know what this could be? It’s getting harder to bear weight on it and is sore now even when resting which is new.

Thanks

    Hi Sam,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having pain that seems to be getting worse. Have you had an MRI? It sounds like the pain I was having in my ankle (mine was medial malleolus) only mine did not make a popping sound. It was intermittent pain for many years but recently got much worse and started aching even when resting. I had an MRI and it revealed a very large cystic lesion inside my talus bone. I had extensive surgery on April 7th and am currently recovering.

tendonitis most likely , only thing can do is rest it , then do therapy to strengthen it.
