HELP! Missed my dose of Zoloft!

Hi I usually take it at 10 pm. I have an alarm set on my phone but I ignored it and forgot to take it. It's now 9 am. And I'm not sure if I should take it now and then again tonight since it's a good amount of time in between. I'm afraid if I skip this dose I will start experiencing withdrawal

If I miss I take mine as soon as I remember but it is up to you.

Not sure you would get withdrawal from missing one tablet.

    Good luck

I'm not sure how long you've been on it. I'm in the first 3 weeks. Last week I had an important event and skipped a day because I wanted to bypass any side effects. Was perfectly fine and had no withdrawal and just got back on the next day.

You wont have withdrawl effects from missing one doze. Just take it tonight at your usual time. And never double doze in one day. That would cause more issues than skipping a doze. You will be fine today don't worry. Just be sure to take it tonight.

I'm still in the begginging stages I guess you can say. I was on 25 for a month and now 2 weeks on 25+12.5=37.5. I called numerous pharmacist to see their opinion on the issue and some said to take it some said not to. I spoke with my doctor finally the office opened and she said to take it. Since my next dose isnt for another 12 hours I should be fine.

I remember the begining stages. They suck. Hope you are doing well. Im actually on my way out, coming off of it. Just as crappy coming off as going on. Good luck and i hope this med works for you. What are you on it for?

They're both horrible. I was on zoloft for 2 years (never missed a pill) and my doctor weaned me off. I was off for 2 weeks. I couldt function without it. So I'm back on again. I am on it for panic disorder.

Im on it for panic disorder too. But once i was on the 100mg for 10 weeks i realized how much of an emotionless zombie it made me. I had no motivation and it made me fearful of going out and doing things. Though it helped with my anxiety a tad and it did make my panic attacks manageable it just wasn't worth it for me. Ive been doing tons of research and i know withdrawl will happen and it will suck. But im ready to suck it up and handle it. Ive read it can take 2 to 8 weeks to completely get rid if withdrawl effects. I just pray i can come off of it. Its hell being on it. Ive been on it for 5 months now.

Are you weaning off? If not I suggest you do.

Stopping all of a sudden will certainly not end well.

All I can say is be prepared. It was the worst experience of my life.

I will be here if you need someone to talk to.

Good to know. I've been on it for two years and sometimes wonder if I can wean down. Now I know the answer. :-)

My goodness i dont think i will ever have the guts to wean off from sertraline after my previous attempt. I had a horrific time always crying, anxious, nauseous, dizzy etc etc. I was on a 50 mg/day dose for 4 years and weaned off over 4 months. About a month and a half of taking my last tablet my withdrawal symptoms started in full force. It was so badbthat mydoctor put me back on 50 mg daily. Its a week now and i can say i am doing a lot better.

I haven't taken mine for three days. I ran out and forgot to go to refill. I woke up with some anxiety last night. Today I have been okay until tonight. Feelin"off". g I don't want to just take my regular dose of 200mg after being off for three days. So I took 100 mg and an Ativan. I guess I'll take 150mg tomorrow and get myself back up. What do you all think the best route would be?"

I would speak to your doctor honestly.

I was off of my 12.5 dose for a week and then the withdrawals hit me.

It was like having the flu but worse.

The medicine stays in your system for about a week.

I think doing 100, 150 then 200 should be fine.

But consult with your doctor first
