Help! My first OB

Hi guys
I just recently (3 days ago) got clinically diagnosed with GH and I am absolutely devastated. I'm in a long term relationship and my partner (who must have been carrying since the start and didn't know) is so supportive which is amazing but he can't help me like I hope you guys can. I'm doing okay mentally thanks to his support but hes just gone away, and I live at home so keeping this to myself is so hard!
I have been suffering with the most agonising pain for the past 5-6 days and I can't even function at the moment. All I've been reading about on here is people with one or a few sores but I seem to have sores all throughout my genitals from the outer labia to my bottom. Is this abnormal? I can't go to the toilet without crying, water hurts almost as bad. How much longer will this last? I don't think I can deal with this for much longer!
I'm on an antibiotic to treat them but it doesn't seem to be lessening the pain. I think the outer sores are drying up but I am still in absolute agony and can barely walk. How can I help myself with this?

First thing get your self a pump bottle and everytime you go to the toilet put warm water in it & when you wee add the water. Get toilet paper that doesn't have perfume and dab don't wipe as you could spread it further or worse bust the blisters. Drink plenty of water and wear cotton undies not lace. Time is all you have, there's no quick fix. Keep researching and try and find something that helps. All the best.

Hi, sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I was diagnosed a month ago and it was devastating. My first outbreak started as a couple of individual bumps but then spread much the same as yours did. I was in a lot of pain (especially going to toilet) for the first week until I started having Epsom salt baths and dabbing the lesions with pure tee tree oil and betadene antiseptic each night. This helped immediately and the lesions became less painful and cleared over the next few days doing that. Now everything looks completely normal down there again. So it will end!! Haven't had another break out yet, hopefully I won't have another or will only have a few over time. But who knows. What type do you have?

I'll have to start having Epsom salt baths, thank you! I appreciate the tips! I don't know what type, my results haven't came back yet. I'm thinking of taking meds to stop the outbreaks from happening, have you been taking them?

I had my first ob in January and I have been taking valtrex since then to suppress. It is probably not the best for your body over time but it has been great so far. I dont wanna jinx it. I have extremely bad anxiety and stress levels so I would be scared to go off as of now. I believe I have HSV1 GH because my ex tested positive for HSV1 but I haven't gone off the meds to retest.

Yes was taking valtrex twice a day during the outbreak. Didn't seem to do much for the pain or spread of the outbreak but by the time I started them my outbreak was already in full swing so maybe if I had started the valtrex earlier then it wouldn't have been as bad? Not sure. But anyway, am now taking it once a day as suppressive therapy to help prevent future outbreaks. I also have a partner who is very supportive and we dont know yet whether he has it or not. If he doesn't then I will be staying on it as valtrex is supposed to reduce the risk of transmission (still a risk though). Not crazy about what the long term effects of taking it could be on my body but want to do as much as I can to reduce the risk of him getting it.
